Flight arrivals - GA aircraft

A total of 120 GA aircraft and helicopters will be authorised for arrival during the festival. Remember that during those three days, the Temporary Restricted Area (ZRT) reserves the aerodrome for microlights. The details of the ZRT will be published in August on the official french website as a SUP AIP at: SIA FR-SUP AIP. The ZRT will be centered on the aerodrome with a radius of 3nm and extend from the ground to 3000ft AGL.

GA aircraft and helicopters must obtain an authorisation and reservation number by 27th August at the latest through the festival website at: www.ulmblois.fr/

Arrivals will ONLY be authorised as follows:
Friday 02/09 from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 15:00 to 19:00 local time.
Saturday 03/09 and Sunday 04/09 as per the programme at: Programme_en_2011.pdf

Penetration of the ZRT must be from the North-East with radio contact on 118.450MHz. The traffic circuit will be as published on the Visual Approach Chart for the aerodrome. The tarmac runway 12/30 will be reserved exclusively for GA and helicopters. Please keep radio traffic to a minimum and follow the directions and signs on the ground; Fuel (100LL and Jet A1) is available.

The ZRT to the South-West and the grass runways 12/30 are reserved exclusively for microlights for the entire period of the festival.

Following these separation procedures will allow the smooth and safe flow of the maximum traffic during the festival period.

The plan below shows the general layout and the separation of GA in the pink shaded area and Microlights in the blue shaded area.
